Professional Boundaries Training is delivered to groups of up to 15 learners and is designed for staff working within a range of care sectors.
Learners will gain a better understanding surrounding the importance of maintaining professional boundaries and how this impacts on employees working in the healthcare sector.
Professional Boundaries Training helps staff to understand that there are the limits that help us to develop effective relationships in the workplace. If these boundaries are not clearly defined, there is likely to be confusion about who has responsibility for what, which can lead to conflict, accountability or performance issues.
- Definition of Professional Boundaries
- Scope of Job – Scope of Treatment
- Boundary Transgressions
- Grey Areas
- Professional Ethics
- Self-Awareness Warning Signs
- Prevention and Avoidance of Sexual Misconduct
- Questions to ask yourself as you assess your Boundaries
Assessment will be by continuous assessment by the trainer – there is no ‘test’ paper.
A Professional Boundaries certificate of attendance will be issued upon successful completion of course.
This Certificate will not require renewal.
