Recommendation on Buccal Midazolam Re-Training
It is recognised that the administration of Buccal Midazolam is an emergency treatment which may or may not be used on a regular basis. The frequency which support workers use the procedure will have an impact on their level of skill and confidence.
It is recommended therefore that individuals attend a refresher course within two years.
1. Who is the Administration of Buccal Midazolam training course targeted at?
Companies book this course for their employees. It is appropriate for everyone who helps someone with epilepsy and might have to provide emergency meds like bucol midazolam. This covers employees in assisted living, day centres, schools, care homes, and community environments.
2. What is covered in the Buccal Midazolam course?
The training offers necessary information on kinds of epilepsy and seizures, the use of rescue medication, and the safe administration of buccal midazolam in line with current regulations and best practice. It covers advice on recording, consent, care planning, and when to call for emergency aid.
3. Why should individuals participate in this buccal midazolam training?Â
Delegates will learn how to identify several types of seizures, properly and legally administer buccal midazolam, and act boldly during an emergency. This improves care quality, supports best practice, and helps fulfil legal and duty of care responsibilities.
4. Does the buccal midazolam training include a practical element or a competency assessment?
The session incorporates a pragmatic component as well. In order to guarantee staff members are confident and competent in using what they have learnt, Tidal Training Ltd may additionally offer a classroom-based, scenario-led competency assessment right after the training, same day or next day.

Those who satisfy the necessary level get a certificate of completion. For further guarantee, companies can also ask for simulated classroom competency assessments.

We’ve created a flexible, structured training and assessment model that helps your team move confidently from theory to practice — all while aligning with your organisation’s needs and the realities of care delivery.
This practical add-on is designed to bridge the gap between formal instruction and real-world competency. Through structured, scenario-based simulations, delegates will have the opportunity to develop manual dexterity, apply their learning in a safe, supportive environment, and build confidence ahead of workplace assessments.
