Prevent Training

Back in 2104, it became a requirement for all education providers and certain authorities to promote core British values. Promoting British values enables individuals to prevent Radicalisation and Extremism. Individual services are required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and complete prevent training.

Safeguarding is a joint responsibility between everyone involved in a child’s life, and a child-centred approach to safeguarding is vital.

This prevent training course can be delivered on it’s own or delivered along with safeguarding of vulnerable children.  Prevent training covers the meaning of ‘extremism’ and its links to terrorism. It goes through all the key legislation, in particular The Prevent Duty. On completion of our prevent training,  you will have knowledge of safeguarding, prevent and be able to identify the environments where you have a duty of care.

Attendees will also learn what signs might indicate people are being radicalised, and how can you help prevent it.

• How people may be drawn into terrorism.
• How messages are spread.
• The role of the internet and social media.
• What organisations must do to comply with the Prevent duty.
• Support for individuals at risk.
• Reporting concerns.

Course Assessment and Certification

• On completion of the course a certificate of attendance will be issued.
