This Huntington’s Disease Awareness course is for health and social care workers who support those with the disease. The course gives learners an understanding, covering its causes, the progression of its symptoms, and the emotional, mental, and physical difficulties that people encounter.

In order to provide person-centred care, communicate clearly, and uphold safety and dignity, learners will gain more practical knowledge and understanding. While a basic understanding of neurological conditions is helpful, no prior knowledge is needed.

  • Importance of planning ahead while the person has mental capacity

Huntington’s Disease Awareness Training Assessment and Certification

Assessment will be by continuous assessment by the trainer – there is no ‘test’ paper. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of course.
