Our Buccal Midazolam course has now been updated in line with new guidelines set out by the following bodies:
(ESNA) Epilepsy Nurses Association

This course has been designed to ensure that staff are provided with current relevant theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Attendees will be supported and taught how to administer rescue medication and there will be simulated practical based assessments.
Learners attending this course should have prior training in Epilepsy Awareness
Excellent training, exactly what was required and very beneficial for the staff concerned with the pupil. The presentation (both the resources and the trainer) were excellent. I think everyone now feels able to manage the pupil and knows exactly the correct procedures to take.

We have partnered with Virtual College and this will allow us to sign staff up to the online assessment and monitor who completes the assessment, who passes or needs additional support.

Tidal will monitor everything at Tidal Head office and you will be sent reports.

Recommendation on Re-Training
It is recognised that the administration of Buccal Midazolam is an emergency treatment which may or may not be used on a regular basis. The frequency which individuals use the procedure will have an effect on their level of skill and confidence.
It is recommended therefore that individuals attend a refresher course within two years.
Onsite Training Locations
Tidal Training provide onsite face to face healthcare training to large and small group organisations and across the United Kingdom. Our tutors will travel to your workplace or choice of venue and deliver training at a time and date which fits in with your organisations work commitments. If you require training outside of normal working hours we will be more than happy to support you.
