This Angelman Syndrome awareness course helps staff develop a better understanding of Angelman Syndrome and the confidence to support individuals in a safe, respectful, and person-centred way. Course Overview
This course offers a clear, practical introduction to Angelman Syndrome for staff working in care and support roles. It focuses on helping staff understand the condition, recognise each person’s individual needs, and provide support that is safe, respectful, and truly person-centred.
The course explores communication, behaviour, health considerations, sensory needs, and day-to-day support. Throughout, there is a strong emphasis on dignity, inclusion, and supporting a good quality of life. The impact of supporting individuals with Angelman Syndrome on staff is also acknowledged, with space for reflection, learning, and wellbeing.
Designed for staff who support people with Angelman Syndrome, this course aims to build confidence and promote good, consistent practice in everyday care.

Assessment & Certification
Assessment will be by continuous assessment by the trainer – there is no ‘test’ paper. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of course.
Onsite Training Locations
