Children and adults who suffer with attachment difficulties can present many challenges, due to their inability to form trusting relationships.
Through our Attachment Disorder training course, learners will be given the opportunity to examine different techniques for working with children/adults who have experienced early trauma in their lives.
Course Summary
The syllabus covers such topics as:
- Develop an understanding of how an unresolved childhood attachment issues can leave an individual vulnerable to difficulties in forming secure adult relationships.
- Symptoms of attachment disorder in adults/children.
- How to break the cycle from attachment problems.
- The two types of insecure attachments (Avoidant & Anxious / Ambivalent).
- To explore participants understanding of Attachment & Loss theory.
Course Assessment and Certification
There will be continuous tutor assessment, there is no final examination. Those learners who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard will be awarded a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
