Phlebotomy Venepuncture Training

This Phlebotomy Venepuncture training is aimed at clinical staff who are new to venepuncture and need to develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills required to perform the procedure safely. The first half of the course covers the anatomy and physiology relevant to venepuncture, along with the underpinning theory and best practice. The second half consists of a practical session in which delegates can practise blood sampling in a controlled environment before carrying out the procedure in the workplace.

Yes. The training includes a practical session in which learners can practise venepuncture methods on manikin arms in a safe, controlled environment before using them in a clinical situation.

3. Do I require previous phlebotomy experience to attend?

No prior experience is required. The course covers both the theoretical and practical fundamentals of phlebotomy, making it appropriate for both newcomers and returning practitioners.
